Practice Schedule
This will be the practice schedule for non-high school players who want to get in game shape before the Babe Ruth season begins. We exclude high school players because they would be violating the rules if they practice with any other team while the high school season is ongoing. Anyone age 13-18 may come out and practice with us. These will be general practice sessions and not team practice sessions.

 Babe Ruth Sign-ups (ages 13-15) are ongoing at High-5 Sports or via the forms below.

  • Coaches are needed.  Use the Contact Us form to notify us if you want to coach Babe Ruth League.
  • Games begin after the High School baseball team finishes their season (last game, May 7.  State tournament begins May 14.)
  • 13-year-olds and those not playing High School baseball may begin practices any time.

Information Form

Ages 16-18

Siloam Springs needs to maintain a tradition of supporting the Sr. Babe Ruth players through a “home” team.  Our efforts can reach outside of Siloam Springs, but this effort is based on giving our older players a chance to continue to play “league” ball in addition to their high school efforts.  This year we will plan to field a team in Siloam Springs with an eye on that program being in place for all the Jr. Babe Ruth and younger players who will come through the program in the years to come.  We are already looking for sponsorships to help offset the cost of fielding a team; however, player registration will be $75/player this season.  We expect our total expenses for the season to be about $1500.

 

Player Age Requirements

  • Any player born prior to May 1, 1994 and on or after January 1, 1991 will be eligible for Sr. Babe Ruth competition.
  • Out of state players (Eastern OK) will be eligible to play.
  • All players must play in at least half of their league games (including league tournament) to be eligible for All-Star / state tournament play.
  • Insurance will be applied to league players from NW Arkansas Sr. Babe Ruth League, players must be on a legal roster to be covered by insurance.

League Play

  • Regular season game dates are doubleheaders and played Sunday (2:00pm and 4:00pm) and Wednesday (6:00pm and 8:00pm).
  • Time limit is 1 hour, 45 minutes or 6 innings.
  • We expect to play 18 games (nine doubleheaders)

Tournaments

  • All Star Tryouts – Friday June 11 and Saturday, June 12
  • League Tournament will be June 28th and 29th
  • July 9-11   16’s North Ark State Tournament, Rogers, AR
  • July 9-11 16-18 North Ark State Tournament, Rogers, AR
  • July 22-26 16’s Southwest Regional Invitational at Fort Smith, AR
  • July 22-26 16-18’s Southwest Regional at Eagle Pass, TX
  • Aug 5-12 16-18’s World Series in Ohio (near Columbus)

 

Important Dates

  • I must have a roster submitted by May 7th.  I can make additions/deletions to the roster until June 6th.
  • League play is expected to start Sunday, May 23rd.
  • Practice for “NON-HIGH SCHOOL” players will begin the week of April 12th.  I will let players know as they register when/where to meet for practice.
